Beautiful poem, and really a good reflection of how many people feel. First things first: you should be okay with you. You deserve to be and you are someone to be okay with.

I might not agree with you on whether or not one should get or have gotten vaccinated, but I do feel that we all have lost a lot of humanity on all sides in the past few years. We all should invest in rebuilding the bridges.

I appreciate your open-mindedness, Arjan. I wonder about rebuilding bridges. I don't know what all folks investing in such a thing looks like, especially while they are still being put to the torch. Outliers are either hiding who they really are to fit in with the masses, or are finding and cultivating their own small bubbles of like-minded to belong in.

I don't like to be around solely like-minded. I think that leads to the degeneration of the human mind and a breeds a lack of empathy. Alas... would love to her what you think an investment in rebuilding bridges looks like from both sides. With the amount of people like myself who had to give up careers/home/family or were coerced into getting the shot and suffered injury, loss, and death... and are still being persecuted, banned, coerced, ignored, monitored, silenced, and flagged as problematic... I just see the bridges we are building as only having so much potential. Enough for their skeletons to exist, perhaps gently walk across for bits, but not to dance and jump and delight in life together with wholeness and openness and complete surrender. How might we get there? I wonder.

It won't be easy, I figure. I think the divide has been building for far longer than the 3 last years. In most cases at least. I think the first step is to search for connections. And to listen.

Search for connections, yes. I think that is a lovely and strong first step. To search for and then lean on. Like poetry and us, it really does do so much...
